The vertical slide will carry 4 pounds. One or two extra springs can be added and each spring will allow the unit to carry 2 additional pounds. It is not recommended to add the extra springs unless they are needed to support extra weight.

The castings are of high strength aluminum and finished with light gray enamel. The ball races and slides are tool steel hardened to 60 – 62 Rc and nickel plated.

Model K Specifications

This model is controlled by a joystick and has two horizontal motions. Total travel is 1/2 inch in all directions. The mounting slide will move in any direction the joystick is moved. Ratio of movement of the joystick to the mounting slide is 10 to 1. The mounting slide has four #6-32 tapped holes for fastening fixtures and the base had four drilled and counterbored holes for fastening purposes. This model is useful where small movements are needed while observing through a microscope. Model K weighs 2 pounds 12 ounces. This unit will carry 4 pounds.

We can also substitute thumbscrews in place of the micrometer heads to shorten the overall dimensions. The unit is also available with Left Hand mounting. The vertical slide will carry 1 pound. Model N weighs 1 pound 10 ounces.

Model 109 Specifications

This model will produce 360 degree rotation. The platen is steel and nickel plated. The body is made of aluminum.

One turn of the adjusting knob will turn the platen 6 degrees. The adjusting knob is graduated in 5 minute graduations. The worm that drives the platen is spring loaded against the worm gear to eliminate as much backlash as possible. The platen can be locked in place by a thumbscrew. Model 109 weighs 1 pound 6 ounces.

There are four #6-32 tapped holes in the top of the platen for fastening objects to it.

Model 110

This model will produce movements in the X-Y planes and 360 degree rotation. Each slide travels 1/2 inch. One turn of the rotary adjusting knob will rotate the platen 6 degrees. The adjusting knob is graduated with 5 minute graduations. The platen can be locked in place with a thumbscrew.

The rotary platen is steel and the body is made of aluminum. The slides and ball races are hardened tool steel and roll on hardened steel balls.

Model 110 with weighs 3 pounds 6 ounces.

Micrometer heads with .001 inch or .01 mm graduations are available for this unit.

This model will produce movements in the X-Y planes. Due to the small size of this model, micrometers could not be installed on it. We have installed fine pitch thumbscrews.

Like the larger models, the slides and ball races are hardened tool steel and are spring loaded against the thumbscrews. The thumbscrews have 40 pitch threads and can be supplied with 80 pitch threads on request. Model 111 weighs 5 ounces.

The mounting slide has two #4-40 tapped holes. The body of this model is finished with light gray enamel.

Model 112

Model 120 Specifications

This model will produce movements in the X-Y planes and a partial rotary movement. The travel of the slides is 1/2 inch. The movement of the rotary platen is plus or minus 10 degrees for a total of 20 degrees travel. The rotary platen has four #6-32 tapped holes. The rotary platen is also available with a vacuum port. If the vacuum port is preferred, specify model 120V. View detail drawing for more details.

The X and Y slides are micrometer fed and the rotary platen is moved by turning the adjusting knob. The rotary movement is not calibrated. Micrometer heads with .001 inch graduations or .01 mm graduations are available for this unit. Model 120 weighs 2 pounds 9 ounces.

Model 128 Specifications

This model will produce movements in the X-Y planes and a partial rotary movement. The travel of the slides is 1/2 inch. We can supply micrometer heads with .001 inch graduations or with .01 mm graduations.

The movement of the rotary platen is plus or minus 10 degrees for a total of 20 degrees of travel. The rotary motion is not calibrated. The platen has a 1/2 inch diameter hole through it, which extends through the entire unit. The rotary platen has four #4-40 tapped holes in it.

The rotary motion is achieved by using a 40 pitch screw, which rotates the platen. One turn of the 40 pitch screw moves the platen 2-1/2 degrees.

For fastening, the lower slide is moved to one end of the travel to expose 2 counterbored holes and then moved to the other end of the travel to expose the other 2 counterbored holes. Model 128 weighs 2 pounds 7 ounces.
